Head Start parenting classes
Collaboration between county offices, a community action agency and a day-care and family resource provider, Living Consciously is being brought to parents of Head Start children.
“Our participants quickly understood that to be good parents, they needed to be better people and to know how their choices affect their children,” LC-trained agency facilitator.
Parent comments and improvements:
“I took the Living consciously class and it changed my life. I look at everyday decisions in a whole new way. The world is what I make of it....I know that I can’t change others, but I can change myself and I did.”
“Everything (in the Living Consciously course) is useful. If you add
everything up, you learn (how to live) your everyday
life.”
“It is a good self-assessment class. I learned how to deal with stress
and regular, everyday problems.”
